Footage taken from Simulation developed for TLISC News & Features Terminal Impact Simulated Training Systems this week announced the imminent release of its latest serious game, called Terminal Impact due out in early 2011. The game has been developed in conjunction with the MUA, TWU, RTBU and Workcover NSW. "It's a first person shooter style game situated in a dangerous freight forwarding facility. There are no guns though, and no visible enemies - just cranes, trucks, trains and precarious container stacks intent on killing you! Your job is to get out alive and get home saefely to you family." The game has a serious message though, and is designed to create awareness of the dangers of moving objects in the work place. To complete the game, players have to observe basic OHS protocols including following safety line markings and always watching out for dangerous moving objects - a leading cause of death and injury in Australian work places.
